Prime & Provisions is home to numerous accolades for its comprehensive wine program including the notable “Best Of: Award of Excellence” by Wine Spectator consecutively for the past three years. Led by the DineAmic's Wine Director, Adam Sweders, the wine program is unparalleled to others in Chicago with a more than 300-plus wine list selection as well as an off-menu If You Insist List, a list dedicated to great vintage wines, different than a reserve list. Sweders developed a highly educated wine team, consisting of servers and managers, where they received level I and II certifications from the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2019. Prime & Provisions' wine program has been featured in such top media outlets like Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, The Tasting Panel and The James Beard Foundation.
Furthering the restaurant’s wine program, Prime & Provisions’ hosts bimonthly sold-out wine dinners partnering with some of the most prominent wineries in the world. Sweders and Executive Chef Joseph Rizza create a multi-course meal pairing each dish, created from the city’s top-rated steakhouse, with a glass from the partnered vineyard. Prime & Provisions is also the host to the annual Somm Madness event, created by both DineAmic Hospitality and Sweders. The wine competition continues to grow each year, which has taken the reigns as the most popular wine event in Chicago, attracting talent from all over the nation.
